I’m so grateful I found Shear Joy Salon! I’ve been eyeing my grey hairs for a while and was avoiding getting them covered because I really do love the color of my natural hair and wanted to maintain that. However they were driving me crazy and it was time Shear Joy got me in quickly with the stylist of my choosing. And she was great! Very knowledgeable, very friendly, and she did a great job. However, totally a me thing, I noticed a lot of red tint, and I knew it would drive me crazy So I went back the next day and asked if they could just tone down the red a bit. I was nervous to ask (I’m usually the person who would eat my meal cold before sending it back, lol but I knew it would drive me crazy and I’d obsess over the red). I saw Emma for the correction and she was AMAZING! Was consistently checking on the color, checking in with me to make sure I liked it and she crushed the correction! I highly recommend Shear Joy, and especially Emma for your color needs 🙂

Federico is a master at the art of hair design. He was welcoming and quickly diagnosed my needs for balance and symmetry with the multiple odd layers in my hair. He gave valuable counsel regarding products to help with shine and body that was much needed for my hair. Most of all I appreciated that he didn't tear down my former hairstylist (who moved from my hometown) and truly was caring and non-judgemental of me or the condition of my hair. It was sheer joy to visit Shear Joy while on vacation and I will keep Federico's card in my wallet hoping to see him again when I visit Clearwater Beach.

This was my first time at Shear Joy and I had a great experience. It's a large salon with lots space. Danielle was fantastic. I haven't had such an awesome haircut in a long time. I have been to many "upscale" salons in Dunedin and Safety Harbor but was never fully satisfied. My search is over. I've finally found my haircut home!

I came into the salon with previously highlighted hair that turned green and was dry and lifeless. Mia gave me the absolute best service. She personalized the haircut to my fine, thin hair. She toned my hair beautifully to get the green out. Gave me exactly what I asked for and made me feel pretty again. She is such a sweetheart and I would recommend her to anyone. Great service! I had my first Headspa experience at the new salon and it was absolutely amazing! I’ve been going to their other location for a while and already love it, but this new spot is just next level. Arielle did an incredible job and my blowout after turned out perfect, the head massage was a full 10/10. The neck and shoulder massage was so relaxing too.
